As we all know, leaks have a huge impact on the shelf life of a product and can be very costly.

Product entrapment and contamination of the seals are the most common cause of leakers in tray seal and thermoform packs. These are usually random occurring events and are generally caused by human error, which makes them difficult to both prevent, or detect.

Automated inspection and ejection is the only reliable way to stop these affected packs being shipped to retailers.

The VisioPointer and  VisioCompact from TriVision are in-line visual inspection systems, that check each pack, in the finest of detail, at production speeds of up to 200 packs per minute.

They consistently inspect packs with clear, or coloured trays and with clear, or printed, top films. Packs with contaminated seals are identified and automatically ejected from the production stream.
