Mid-Range Capacity Mixers using the most Advanced Mixing Technology

The Dansensor MAP Mix Focus, in 2 and 3 gas mix versions, offers a cost effective, mid-range, capacity mixer. Developed with a high level of mix accuracy, using the experience gained from producing the high capacity MAP Mix Provectus and the use of Mass Flow Controllers.

The Dansensor MAP Mix Focus is universally suitable for both buffer tank & flow applications. It offers users full flexibility and redundancy across a site’s fleet of packaging lines.

The MAP Mix Focus is oxygen safe throughout. It will safely mix any combination of nitrogen, oxygen, carbon dioxide and atmospheric air. For ease of installation, any gas can be connected to any inlet port.

Consistent gas mix. During the working day, it is inevitable that supply gas pressures fluctuate. However, the technology of the MAP Mix Focus, ensures delivery of a consistent gas mix, regardless of those fluctuations. This removes the need for operators to repeatedly adjust the mixer settings in order to maintain the correct headspace gas mix in the pack.

Mass Flow Meters accurately measure the volumes of the in-feed gasses from input gas pressures between 2.1 – 10.0 bar. This is a significant advance on the old technology of traditional mixers, where any inconsistency in the input gas pressures can cause disruption to production, slower running and quality issues.

Maximum Output Volumes
To achieve maximum output volumes, all input gas pressures should be at 6.0 bar or above. At that level, the maximum volumes of mixed gas for the most common mix ratios are:

Mix Ratios                                        80% / 20%         70% / 30%
2 Gas MAP Mix Focus                    312 L/min            350 L/min
3 Gas MAP Mix Focus                    625 L/min            710 L/min

When higher output volumes are required, the three gas version of the Dansensor MAP Mix Focus can deliver twice the output of a two gas version. This is achieved by connecting the gas of the larger ratio onto two of the three inlet ports. The MAP Mix Focus then automatically performs the calculations.

Gas media Any mix of dry oxygen, carbon dioxide, or nitrogen, or air (0°C to +50°C gas temperature)
Gas inlet pressure 2.1 – 10.0 bar, depending on back pressure and flow
Pressure drop Example: 1 bar at 10 bar input pressure
Gas flow per gas string 6 – 250 l/min
Output gas flow Total output flow up to: 500 l/min (2-gas) and 750 l/min (3-gas) depending on mixture setting
Mixer settings Range 0%, 2% – 100%
Mixer accuracy +/- 2% absolute in flow ranges above 50 l/min total output flow
Flow measuring Total and daily consumption
Operating modes Buffer or flow configuration, selectable in MAP Mix Focus software and by installation
